Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen has on October 23, 2021, presented some assorted items to staff and management of Diamond FM ahead of this year’s Diamond Damba festival activities.
Presenting the items on behalf of the minister was the Northern Regional coordinator, Mr. Ishmael Yahuza of Mr. Kyerematen’s communication team.
The items include 100 cartons of Verna mineral water, 50 cartons of Malt, 20 cartons of Milo, and cartons of Milk which is to support the annual blood donation exercise and the renewal of health insurance cards for widows, orphans, and some elderly persons during the Diamond Damba Festival celebration
Hon. Alan Kyerematen, also made a cash donation of Ghc 5,000 to the management of the station to support the various activities line-up for the Diamond Damba Festival celebration.
Ishmael Yahuza, in his presentation, noted that Trade Minister is passionate about life-changing events hence, the charitable act.
“Alan if you know him, he is somebody who loves to support initiatives like this, an initiative that will transform and change the lives of others, programs that will help bring peace among the various political parties and in Alan’s view, the Diamond Damba Festival is a great initiative that needs all the support, ” he said
According to Mr. Yahuza, the minister expressed interest after receiving an invitation from the management of Diamond FM and, “if not for other engagements he wanted to be here to present the items as well as, participate in the activities”.
Ishmael Yahuza indicated that the trade minister is committed to providing the necessary support to the management of Diamond FM to ensure the program is sustained to continue saving lives in the region.
This is the fourth edition of the Diamond Damba Festival, which would attract people from various tribes from the North including Moshies, Dagombas, Frafras, Kasenas, Grushies, Gonjas and Dagaabas, and the various political parties to battle in activities such as Football Gala and other sporting activities.
The event will be climaxed with a blood donation exercise, and registration of National Health Insurance Cards for widows and orphans at the premises of Diamond FM on October 25, 2021.
