Mrs. Abena Ofori Atta, a staunch member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and an in-law of President Nana Akufo-Addo, has reacted to shady comments and attacks intended to dent the image of Hon. Alan Kyerematen. In her words, “When I hear unwholesome and unsavory attacks against Chief Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen’s personality from the likes of Baah Acheamfour—an infantile and inept stomach politician—my heart bleeds”.
Chief has served and continues to serve his country selflessly and hardly has any time on his hands to enjoy the pleasures of life. Whilst evil men who do not know him but for a mere ‘morsel of bread’ will run their mouths to destroy and tarnish his impeccable and hard-earned reputation. Obviously, such people who spew evil about him do not know him and inarguably are enemies of progress who have been tasked by powers in high places to fight against him so that the very good intentions of God for this country will not be realized.
Chief is working tirelessly neither for himself nor his immediate family but for the betterment of this country. Chief, a devout Christian and a true believer who walks by the central tenets of the Christian faith, goes on his knees to pray every day to his Maker. A loving husband and a very good father, who together with his amazing and lovely wife, Sister Pat have raised two wonderful and respectful young men; a talked about uncle, a faithful and loyal friend, and what more can I say!
A man who wakes up early and sleeps late not to amass wealth for himself or his family but to ensure that a good foundation is laid for creating jobs, especially, for the unemployed Ghanaian youth. In addition, Chief is working assiduously to make Ghana’s industrial transformation agenda a reality. Whilst others engage in frivolous activities, Chief continues to work hard for the good of this country.
When a few ungrateful and unpatriotic Ghanaians conspired at night to frustrate and deprive him of any recognition, Chief sought to find means to liberate Ghana and Africa from abject poverty. He’s the Moses of our time, the man whom God himself has chosen to lead us to economic emancipation and freedom. It is only a wicked person who will speak such evil against such a fine gentleman.
My former colleague at the IMF who had the opportunity to work with Chief at the Ministry recently had this to say: “I never knew we have men of such high caliber in Ghana today. I thought we only had these brains in the Bretten Woods stock.” His impressive work ethics are second to none. His vast and unique leadership qualities have set him apart from those of his peers. Those who work with him have but only the highest regard and admiration for him and this fact is reaffirmed during his meetings with his colleagues Trade Ministers from African countries.
These days when quid pro quo has become the order of the day in our society and body politics, this is what another former colleague at AfCFTA Secretariat had to say about Chief: “He is the only man I know in Ghana who gives and expects nothing in return.” Yes, Chief is a man with high moral integrity and utmost humility who only seeks the best interest of his fellow men.
I pray every day for him that he will be given the opportunity to lead Ghana to the promised land. Ghana will be sweeter than honey and his detractors, such as Baah Acheamfour will bow out from politics in gross shame. For the aforementioned observations, let’s all unite and rally behind Chief for the sake of our beloved nation, Ghana. Alan mmre nie!!!
