On Wednesday, October 14, Minister of Trade and Industries, Hon. Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen with his
deputies, Hon. Herbert Krapa and Hon. Michael Okyere Baafi received envoys of the Federal Republic of
Germany, Great Britain, and Spain when they paid a courtesy call on him at the Ministry of Trade and
Industries. First was the German Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Daniel Krull. We discussed among others, the
deepening of relations between both countries, focusing on trade and investment. The second was the UK
Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Ms. Harriet Thompson, with whom our discussions centered on strengthening
relations between Ghana and the UK as well as, promoting trade and investment between the two countries.
We also discussed ways to enhance the implementation of the newly signed Ghana-UK Trade Partnership
Agreement, the UK-Ghana partnership for Jobs, and the Economic Transformation (JET) Programme.
H.E Javier Gutierrez we of Spain was the third to visit and our discussions were geared towards promoting
trade and investment opportunities between our two countries.
