Queens, a women group in the Ashanti Region, together with other voluntary groups have honored and
responded to the concerns of market women in the Ashanti Region. The leadership of Queens, led by Madam
Afia Korankyewaa together with other well-meaning individuals has fulfilled the request of market women who
trade within Kumasi Race Course Market by donating 200 bags of cement and two trips of quarry gravels.
The birthday celebration of Hon. Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, generated spontaneous attention across
home and abroad which, garnered momentum at the Kumasi Race Course Market, witnessed the love and
support of loyal followers of the astute leader. The market women association made the passionate appeal
during the 66th birthday celebration of Trade Minister, Hon. Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen.
During the presentation, Madam Afia Korankyewaa reiterated her appreciation to the market women for their
continuous support and dedication towards the economic transformation in the country and thanked the
market women for the trust they have reposed in the NPP government. Receiving the donation on behalf of
the Race Course Market Women, the secretary of the association, Maame Kakyire Badu expressed her
profound gratitude to the Hon. Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen and thank the women group for the kind gesture
and prayed to God to bless and refill every barn that contributed to this kind gesture.
